A speech by Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum
“I propose to merge the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Commercial Court, for which it will be necessary to make amendments to the Constitution of Russia”
When adressing the International Economic Forum Russian President in Saint Petersburg, Russian President Vladimir Putin made an unexpected proposal:
“For the purposes of ensuring uniform approaches to the resolution of disputes with participation of both citizens and organizations, as well as disputes with the bodies of State power and bodies of local self-government I propose to merge the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation and the Supreme Commercial Court, for which it will be necessary to make amendments to the Constitution of Russia.
