On use and abuse of competition between courts
Leading experts take part in public discussion in Gaidar-club
The web portal of legal information GARANT has published the record of a discussion on the potential pros and cons of competition between courts of last resort within one jurisdiction. The discussion, which took place on 27 November 2013 in Gaidar-club in Moscow, has the pending merger of highest courts in Russia as a background news. There were three speakers, all having in-depth expertise in the issues related to the Russian judicial system: Alexander Muranov (Managing Partner of "Muranov, Cherniakov & Partners"), Anatoliy Semenov (Representative of Russia's Business Ombudsmen on Intellectual Property Issies) and Alexander Vereshchagin (The Institute of Precedent, LLC). The discussion was moderated by Vadim Novikov, an economist and member of the Council of Experts of the Government of the Russian Federation.
